Scheduling & Visits

Pay as you go consultations one-off are also available, but packages offer clients a more effective solution to their chronic health complaints as it allows time to explore the underlying issues and work though them step by step to achieve sustainable changes to health.

During COVID we moved all our work online but we plan to restart a regular clinic at Highland Wellness centre, Inverness soon.

Online consultations are available for clients living or working anywhere in the UK. Sorry, for insurance purposes we are unable to work with clients outside the UK.

We will check your medications for interaction with nutrients, herbs and supplements to ensure you are getting adequate and safe nutritional support. We do not recommend our clients stop any medication without consulting their GP.

We can help with most chronic health conditions because we don’t treat the disease, we support health, balance, and function of the body to promote health. We are not qualified to work with cancer patients, anorexia, bulimia, or other eating disorders however, we may be able to put you in contact with a specialist practitioner who can help you. We do not offer weight loss programs although many clients find their weight improves when we support health of thyroid, gut and metabolism.

We do our best to answer all emails within 24 hours during our working week (Mon-Thurs). Clients should contact our team using the messenger facility on Practice Better as this is given priority over email. However, if a question or request is deemed by one of our staff to be too complicated or involved for a response via messenger or email they may, at their discretion, require that the client schedule a phone, video call or in-person visit instead of responding via email.

Please give a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule an appointment. We’ll always do our best to accommodate any last-minute requests, but this cannot be guaranteed.

A package may be cancelled for a full refund (minus administration fee) no less than 48 hours prior to initial consult. Once package has started it cannot be cancelled or refunded. Consultations are not transferable.

Fees & Invoices

All clients are invited to join our secure online platform, Practice Better. You can view and pay your invoice there with credit or debit card. Payment is due 48 hours before your initial consultation.

You can pay for our Standard and Complete Gut packages in monthly instalments via our secure online platform, Practice Better. Payment of the first instalment is due 48 hours before your initial consultation.

The fee includes time for your practitioner to assess, analyse and research your case, interpret test results, check any medications for nutrient interactions, devise a personal health plan, source suitable supplements, and carry out regular re-assessment and reviews. Support between consultations is included in your package

The cost can vary considerably depending on an individual’s requirements. The priority is always to optimise diet and digestion, but supplements can be instrumental in achieving good health. We are conscious of the need to budget so use the best quality products available at the most reasonable price. Clients are encouraged to use recommended products to maximise  benefit from the program.

Clients are encouraged to use (free) NHS testing where possible but the scope in the context of functional medicine is very limited. Test fee’s vary from £32 for a vitamin D test, £79 for thyroid screen to £359 for a comprehensive stool & microbiome test. Lab tests are invoiced via Practice Better and the test kit delivered to your home with full instructions..
